This is the opportunity of a life time to experience the ambience of this incredible and beautiful farm, and to experience first hand the fascinatin43340df6c1g world of irrigation in the MIA.

The Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area is one of the richest and most productive agricultural regions in Australia, and the world.

This great productivity is made possible by the life-giving waters of the Murrumbidgee River, together with the environmental assets of an excellent climate, ideal soils and low levels of pollution and chemicals.

Catania Farm gives visitors to this region an opportunity to visit a working mixed horticulture and viticulture farm, growing many different fruits and nuts. Giving the guests to the farm opportunity to pick fruit straight from the tree e.g. Prunes or sugar plums, apricots, peaches, apples, carobs, olives, figs, persimmons, prickly pear, walnuts, pecans, pistacchios, almonds, pears, cherries, quince, crabapple and many more.

Learn about the history of this farming area, see the historical mud brick homestead built in 1912, using the soil from the farm, be

fore the arrival of  water. Mr Percy Cox (a pioneer to this region) built 32 squares of mud brick home with ceilings of pressed tin.

The tours at Catania Farm are conducted in a very personal way by the owners Joe & Sharon Maugeri.  Visitors coming to this farm leave with a real knowledge of this region and the great tastes which stay with them forever.

Take the time to come see our wonderland here in the MIA, and visit our mixed farm whilst you are in the area.  Enjoy the fruit and sampling the 100% fruit jams, mustards, our homemade traditional wine, prunes in port, dried fruit prunes, apricots & fruit salad. All for sale in the store.
